Campaigning against redundancy and for decent, well-paid jobs

 

NHS:                        

 

Supporting the ‘Keep Our NHS Public’ campaign and opposing privatisation

 

EDUCATION:       

 

Lobbying Lancashire councils against Government pressure to set up ‘academy’ schools

 

BENEFITS:           

 

Lobbying Lancashire MPs to oppose the government’s plans to force single parents with children

under 7 into work by cutting their benefits

 

ANTI-RACISM:    

 

Organising leafleting and publicity against racist political parties in Lancashire

 

HOUSING:            

 

Calling for councils to have the right to build and maintain council housing

 

POST:                     

 

Opposing the closure of post offices and the sell-off of Royal Mail

 

LIBERTIES:          

 

Lobbying against the Government’s proposal to introduce ID cards

 

WAGES:                 

 

Campaigning for a ‘Living Wage for Lancashire’

 

MIGRANT WORKERS:

 

Organising to prevent migrant workers being exploited
